The Grazing Plate located in Paradise Point, north Gold Coast is rapidly expanding and in need of additional talented, motivated hospitality experts to join our fabulous team. 

Senior Chef

We are seeking an experienced Chef to work closely with our Head Chef to help grow our business. This role will suit someone who is ready for the next step up in their career ideally Sous level.


Located in the northern Gold Coast suburb of Paradise Point, we currently provide a combination of services including cafe, restaurant, bar, function space and catering.  Our seven-day operation provides Breakfast & Lunch daily, with plans to relaunch Dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings.  The catering arm and function space each offers exceptional growth potential with forward business picking up right now for private events, weddings etc. 


Our brand is well established and recognised within the local community for providing an excellent client experience and a wholesome, delightful menu served in comfortable and modern surroundings by a friendly, professional and happy team.


The ideal person for this role must be passionate about food, possess extensive hands-on experience in the efficient management of kitchen operations and demonstrate commitment and drive.   You also need to be energetic and positive with a practical understanding of hospitality business operations (front and back of house).  


NOTE that while this appointment is full-time and based on a 38 hour week, we are offering flexible hours to ensure realistic work/life balance along with an attractive remuneration package.

  • A really positive, can-do attitude with healthy respect for all team members

  • Previous experience in a similar role and environment

  • Formal trade qualifications including Cert 3 Commercial Cookery, level 4 or above a must with min of 5+ years hands on experience

  • Effective communication skills 

  • Computer literacy with strong administration skills

  • Immediate start

Food & Beverage Staff

As a Food & Beverage Attendant you will have the opportunity to learn and grow with our company, within a fast paced and fun work environment.


  • No formal experience required - other than a genuine pleasure in the company of others, energy and passion to learn and provide efficient and friendly service.  Previous F&B or retail experience is advantageous, but not essential

  • Ability to communicate and take orders/instructions clearly, while remaining cheerful, calm and professional 

  • Enjoy working in a positive team environment and sharing responsibility 

  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including some nights (for events), weekends and holiday periods

  • Currently hold a QLD Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate plus the Covid Hospitality Certificate
